Visit Galway, drive to Doonagore Castle in County Clare, visit Cliff of Moher, go to a local pub and stay all night, sing to the Irish, tour the Guinness storehouse in Dublin, go to a disco in Limerick, visit the Aran Islands, pray at St. Patrick's Cathedral in Dublin and drink Guinness!

Before you go
If you plan on driving in Ireland, which I highly recommend, then I would definitely reserve your vehicle in advance. Just remember, depending on what country you are from, they may be driving on the "wrong" side of the road. When I was there with my friend Angela, I let her drive and I navigated her around. There's lots of round-abouts, and we are from California, so we weren't used to those. It was a true adventure to be driving around in a Fiat that we could never find the "reverse" gear in.

Wi-fi, Internet and Cell Phones
Free wi-fi exists in Ireland and here is a website for free hot spots: https://wifispc.com/ireland If you are traveling to a remote area, then your wi-fi will be spotty. Free wi-fi is becoming increasingly available and if you plan on spending time in Dublin, then you won't have an issue. Check with your mobile carrier for more information.

Money
Ireland's currency is the Euro. You can purchase Euros in your own country, such as the USA, or you can exchange in Ireland. You can purchase Euros from either Bank of American or Chase. Check the Travelex website for the current exchange rate.

Food and Water
Water is safe to drink in Ireland. I'm from California and we've been having a drought here, so I never order it in a restaurant, but in Ireland, the sky is the limit! Safe and pure.

What to Purchase
Wool scarf, Irish whiskey like Jameson, Connemara, Tullamore Dew, Irish crystal and a Claddagh Ring.
